- Cook till all water drains and only oil and beef is cooking.Add quarter cup boiling water to cook the meat till tender.
- NB: I don't boil the meat to preserve the best taste.I fry it direct.
- When well cooked add salt,stir.
- Add pilau masala,tumeric and black pepper.stir to mix thoroughly.
- Add diced tomatoes, cook till dissolved
- Using the same cup that measures the rice,measure water(i use boiling water).for 1 cup of rice= 2 cups water.measure rice
- Measure rice,wash and add to the beef mixture, stir well,taste salt.
- On low heat cover and let cook till all water drains.
- Serve with kachumbari
