The ingredients needed to make Fried Idli:
  1. Make ready 1 1/2 cup Sooji/ rava
  2. Prepare 1 cup curd
  3. Prepare to taste Salt
  4. Take 1 teaspoon eno
  5. Make ready 2 small capsicum
  6. Take 1 carrot
  7. Prepare 1 onion
  8. Make ready 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
  9. Get 2 tablespoon oil
  10. Get 1 spoon mustard seeds
  11. Take 2 tsp Kadi patta /curry leaves(optional)
  12. Get 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  13. Get 1 teaspoon vinegar
  14. Get 1 teaspoon soya sauce
  15. Prepare 1 spoon tomato ketchup
Instructions to make Fried Idli:
  1. Take a bowl. Add rava curd then mix them well.. Add salt as per taste.. Keep this batter aside.
  2. Take pressure cooker or idli cooker… Put some water in it… Switch on the flame…
  3. Take idli stand… Grease it with oil so that idli batter should not stick to it…
  4. Check the consistency of the batter and add water if it seems thick and make it smooth and at last add eno (just before putting the batter into the stand…) Mix the batter properly…
  5. Put the batter into the stand… Keep the stand into the cooker..
  6. Remove the whistle if you are making it in pressure cooker.
  7. Keep it on low flame for 20minutes…
  8. Meanwhile chop all the veggies…
  9. Take a pan or kadai.. Put some oil.. Once the oil get heated add mustard seeds and kadi patta..
  10. Add veggies… Saute them well.. Now add salt as per taste(remember salt is there in idli as well)
  11. Now add vinegar, soya sauce, ketchup and black pepper, then mix them well
  12. Now add idlis… (You can cut idlis into 4pieces if you are using big stand… I have used small one) and mix them well.
  13. Garnish it with coriander.. Serve it hot with ketchup or green chutney.
