Sandwich dhokla is spicer version of White Dhokla, made from rice and udad dal. Dhokla is a vegetarian culinary dish that is found mainly in the Indian state of Gujarat and parts of adjacent states. It is made with a fermented batter derived from rice and split chickpeas. Khaman dhokla is a traditional Gujarati dish and my family's favourite.
Steps to make Sandwich Dhokla:
- Take sooji and add all ingredients except Eno and turmeirc
- Keep aside for 20 minutes
- Now check the batter(add water if needed)
- Add Eno and mix well
- Divide the better into 2 parts
- Add turmeric to one part
- Our white and yellow batters are ready.
- Pour ehite batter in a greased mould abd steam for 5 mins.
- Niw aooly Green Chutney and pour yellow batter
- Steam them for 15 mins
- For Tadka: Heat oil, add Rai, sesame, curry leaves and green chillies
- Pour them on steamed dhokla
- Cut them in desired shape
- Garnish and serve
