Steps to make Bhuna Khichuri:
  1. Wash Lentils and Rice first. In a dry pan lightly roast the Lentils. Add the rice. Add equal amount of water. So for 2 cups of rice and 2 cups of lentils add 4 cups of water. Heat to boil and cover pot
  2. Add chili power, tumeric powder and salt and stir and let it cook in low heat
  3. In another pan heat the ghee or margarine which is used for the unique smell, add the rest of the ingredients until chopped tomatoes are slightly mushy
  4. Add the rice and lentils mixture and stir and mix. Garnish with coriander. Serve hot
